Library Hours

The Law Library's regular hours during the academic year are:

Monday-Thursday 7:30 am - Midnight
Friday 7:30 am - 9:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
Sunday 9:00 am - Midnight


These hours are subject to change. Please check the library website for the most up-to-date information.

 

During the academic year, reference librarians are available to assist you with your research

Monday-Thursday 9:00 am- 9:00 pm
Friday 9:00 am- 5:00 pm
Saturday-Sunday 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm

Limited Access Periods

During exam periods, access to the Law Library is limited to law students, faculty & staff, and individuals doing legal research or using the federal documents collection.  Limited access begins approximately four weeks before the first law school exam date.  For more information, see the Law Library website.


Law students: please have your UW ID card with your green gargoyle label ready to identify yourself. Labels are available at the Circulation Desk.

Noise and Other Distractions

Please respect those around you by keeping noise and other distractions to a minimum. Talking in a loud voice, audible use of technological devices (cell phones, computers, etc.), food consumption, and other activities that may interfere with others' ability to study are prohibited.

If you notice any distractions or inappropriate behavior in the library, notify library staff right away so that we may promptly address the situation.
